iSunray – In The Dead Of Night remix(orig. by RogueFX)

Wairarapa based (YAAAAAAY go the ‘RAPA!) iSunray brings us his latest work. This re-mix of UK act RogueFX’s single In The Dead Of Night is an absolute monster of a track.

We’ve got a full-on techno/Latino fusion going on here. Sitting under the baritone vocal is the evidence of a studio producer at the peak of his skills. We’ve got a great, rapid-fire beat under some 80s-inspired high volume synth leads comprised of some stabs and chords, nicely blended for a continuity that drives the overall mix.

It’s got an interesting visual on the You Tubes with its lyric video. This could stand up on Juice, tbh, as it’s a cool, compelling little video of an individual pacing their city-side bedroom, high-rise apartment based, and incapable of rest due to the saccharine glare coming from those bewitching but disingenuous lights outside and below. The colouring and the lighting all augment the dystopic undercurrent and make it all the more stark by it being set in today’s world.

Anyway, back to the song. This should be a must for any night-club DJ, as it has a darkness to it that would suit a rave, or a warehouse party. iSunray is definitely someone you DJs should be watching for his latest stuff anyway, but this one is an absolute example of why. It should get aired on a whole raft of dance and electronica radio stations and sites. I hope whoever is marketing iSunray is onto that.

It’s out on Spotify, so go seek! There’s not much more I feel compelled to write about for this one. I think I made myself clear. The Dark Prince of Kiwi Mechanical Licensing is back nd you need to hear this!
